Home Care Services in Stibbington
Stibbington is a tranquil spot that lies six miles west of Peterborough. The village boasts some beautiful architecture, with Stibbington Hall, a fine 17th century family home and listed building, looking down grandly on the village from the banks of the river Nene.
Stibbington’s rich history can be felt on a walk through the village, though not always in the best way – the popular Haycock Hotel is said to be haunted by characters as famous as Queen Victoria!
Enjoying the community feel of village life makes an enormous difference to our wellbeing as we age. We want you to be able to enjoy your independence and make the most of your home town for as long as possible. With individual care packages ranging from assistance with shopping to round-the-clock care, you can be sure to find a level of support that fits in with your lifestyle.

Stibbington: Did You Know?
The Haycock Hotel houses upholstery that can be traced back as early as 1571. Back then, it would have been known as the Swan Inn, welcoming travellers peddling their wares along the Great North Road.
Stibbington is home to the Nene Valley Railway, where you can enjoy a nostalgic ride in a heritage steam or diesel train to Yarwell. The station also boasts a wonderful second hand bookshop with an especially fine transport collection.
According to the Domesday Book, the annual rent paid to the lords of the manors of Stibbington in 1066 was 10p! This had increased to £1 by 1086.
