Sue is the Recruitment and HR Manager for Greenwood Homecare Peterborough. She invites candidates for interview and conducts all the necessary employment checks before organising training for new starters.
Sue joined Greenwood as a care worker and progressed to senior care worker before moving to recruitment. She has completed her Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care since starting with us and is now enrolled on an HR course. An experienced carer herself, Sue knows exactly what to look for in new candidates, ensuring the people she recruits have a genuine interest in supporting other people and are caring and compassionate.
One of the things Sue loves about her role is that every day is different, from speaking to clients and managing office work to going out to deliver care. She is always ready to jump in to support her colleagues, whether that’s helping new carers out in the community to build their confidence, or supporting colleagues in the office to manage their workload.
Sue lives with her cat and dog and enjoys getting away in the UK and abroad when she has the opportunity. She has three grown up children and loves to spend time with her grandchildren on weekends. Sue loves being outside in the garden doing some gardening or DIY, or just relaxing with a drink when the English weather permits!
