About usWho we are and our values
Greenwood Homecare was born out of a belief that there had to be something better out there for elderly and vulnerable individuals in the local community. We’re committed to hiring the most caring carers to provide the best possible service to individuals in need, raising the bar for home care in Peterborough, Grantham and Cambridge.
Aside from ensuring our carers are fully trained and rigorously checked, we look for something extra in our staff. Our carers are devoted to going above and beyond for their clients, following detailed care plans that are constantly updated to match the needs of the individual.
Although we work hard to ensure every client need is met, our care visits are far from transactional. Our carers take pride in providing individualised care that truly benefits the service user. No need is too small to be noted, and we believe in going the extra mile to ensure our clients know we care. We take a personal approach, and our inclusive culture can be felt in our offices and with each carer that represents us. We know our carers and the clients they serve by name, and the door of our local office is always open.
Everyone at Greenwood has experienced working as a carer, and we believe our community ethos of all mucking in together makes us better able to cater to the needs of our clients. If you’re looking for a personalised, dependable service from carers who truly care about their clients, we’re waiting for your call.
Meet the team
Please feel free to ask for any of us in person – we are here to help
Tom is Director of the company and believes that identifying empathetic people, who truly care about the people they look after, is the most important ingredient of Greenwood’s
success. Tom primarily handles the finance, and marketing side of the business. Outside of work, Tom enjoys playing tennis, and spending time with his family and their cat.
Donna Palmer delivers our three-day induction training to new carers. She supports new team members to feel confident in their role and to offer compassionate, person-centred care to each of our clients. Donna has been a trainer for 10 years and is a certified teacher of first aid and moving and handling.

As Head of Care Operations, Nina oversees the management and delivery of care in all three of our branches. She divides her time between Peterborough, Grantham and Cambridge, ensuring our care in each area meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
As Care Coordinator for our busy Peterborough branch, Sophie can be found manning the phones, organising the rota for care calls and dealing with any staff queries that might arise. Sophie is an organisational whizz, and loves the process of matching the right carers to the right clients.
Cheryl is Greenwood Homecare’s Payroll Lead and manages the payroll for our branches in Peterborough, Cambridge and Grantham. Cheryl enjoys keeping organised and brings twenty years’ experience in accounts, finance and payroll to our team in Peterborough.

Megan divides her time between the office and the community. She conducts all care assessments, and writes the care plans. She then works with clients on a continuous basis to ensure that their care plans are kept up to date and accurately reflect their needs.
Lisa has been with Greenwood many years, and works with our care team to ensure they are supported in their roles. She focuses on compliance based activities, working in the office with our software to review care and medication activity.

Ronaya is a jack-of-all-trades that lends to support to our staff in their roles. She handles client enquiries, and offers phone support to carers, as well as assists Sue with recruitment activity. She is currently completing a Level 3 apprenticeship in Health and Social Care.
Bethanie runs the show in Cambridge and has over twenty years’ experience in health and social care. Bethanie manages new client referrals, care plans and recruitment, but still loves to see the clients and occasionally delivers care.
As Care Coordinator in our busy Cambridge office, Charlotte ensures our carers are well looked after. With many years’ experience in supporting vulnerable people, Charlotte continues to deliver care in the local community while ensuring client queries are handled quickly and effectively.
Debbie works part time managing the rotas for the carers. She puts them together for the week ahead ready for our Wednesday sending date, and also manages cover in the event of short-term absences. Debbie works 12-5pm in the office, and works in the morning providing care. Knowing the clients and their locations helps her with rota planning.
A former nurse, Sally brings over thirty years experience in hospital settings. Sally works with the carers and clients to support in the delivery of care. Still providing care herself, Sally also supports the carers, especially the newer ones, with guidance and advice. She also performs a variety of administrative tasks, such as medication audits.
