Those with learning disabilities have the same needs as we all have, in that they want to live independently at home and to enjoy the freedom of choice. Our services are designed to help people realise those objectives.

Often, those with learning disabilities require a little extra help with certain activities in order for them to complete their daily tasks. Whether a persons needs are mild, moderate or complex, our carers can provide support for all activities. Our carers are highly trained, with practical experience of dealing with learning disabilities.

Examples of the support we can provide

Assistance with light domestic duties

Helping to participate in activities that will support social inclusion

Personal home care such as washing and dressing

Assistance with participation in leisure activities

Please do not hesitate to get in contact with us to discuss your specific needs. After an initial consultation, we can provide a care plan unique to the individual. For more information, please get in contact with us by booking in a care assessment, or calling one of our branches on the numbers provided.

Types of personal care

Our personal care plans are flexible to meet your needs, whether that’s a drop-in visit a few times a week or 24/7 live-in care. When discussing your care plan with you, we will take the time to understand your unique circumstances and the type of care that is right for you.

Visiting care involves your carer popping by for as little as half an hour. This type of care is helpful if you need assistance with specific activities or simply the peace of mind that someone is checking in. Longer visits can also be arranged if you require support throughout the day.

Night care ensures that you or a loved one can access the support you need overnight. A night carer can help with continence management, preventing falls or assisting with medication. They can also support with morning or nighttime routines.

If you or a loved one requires round-the-clock support, live-in care offers an alternative to care homes that puts the comfort and independence of the individual first. A live-in carer can be on hand whenever support is needed, providing assistance and companionship.

If your loved one is living with Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, they may have complex care and emotional needs. Our highly trained carers are experienced in supporting people with the unique challenges of Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, putting the safety, comfort and dignity of the individual first.

If you or a loved one is recovering from a fall, illness or operation, you may need reablement care while you get back on your feet. Our carers can help with medical needs and staying on top of things around the house. They also offer support and encouragement to build confidence and help you feel like yourself again.

Respite care allows carers to take a break, preventing carer burnout and offering variation to the person in their care. Respite care can be arranged for a day at a time or for several weeks.

Carers that care as much as you do

That’s why we are committed to hiring dedicated, empathetic carers who can make a real difference to the lives of the people they support. Our carers don’t simply provide assistance, but will support and empower your loved one to live as independently as possible.

From building your care plan, to each care visit, we take the time to understand your needs and ensure we are providing the very best care. Our friendly and dependable team are here to answer any questions you may have and are flexible to adapt your care plan as your needs change.
