A Day in the Life of Live-in Care
Our live-in carers provide 24/7 support to individuals in their own home. Since they fit in with your routines and lifestyle, a typical day can be anything you want it to be. Here’s what life could look like with live-in care.
Starting the Day Your Way
You’ll be able to plan with your carer what time you’d like to rise, and of course this might change depending on the day. Your live-in carer will be available to support you with getting ready, whether that’s washing and personal care, dressing or simply having a hot cup of tea waiting for when you get up.
You might eat breakfast together and discuss the day ahead, or you may prefer to eat independently. Your carer will also be able to help you with remembering and administering any medication. If you need help with domestic tasks like washing up and making the bed, they’ll be able to do that too.
A Companion for Activities
With live-in care, the days are yours to do what you wish. This might involve heading into town for some shopping, walking the dog around the park, or receiving friends and family at home. Your live-in carer is here to help you get the most out of each day, whether that means driving you to appointments and visits and letting you get on, or accompanying you in whatever activity you choose.
You’ll find that live-in care gives you more freedom, as there’s always someone on hand to make sure that you can get around safely and do the activities you love.
Down Time at Home
Our live-in carers respect your boundaries and personal space, and it might be that you’d like time to yourself at home to see family or catch up on TV.
Your carer can help with light housework or domestic tasks, or provide companionship to play your favourite game or reminisce over a cup of tea. Live-in carers are here for you, so you decide how to organise your day.
Enjoying Mealtimes
For many people, mealtimes are a social occasion. Your carer can prepare delicious food and enjoy it with you, or respect your privacy – whatever works for you. Either way, the meals they prepare will be to your tastes and preferences, from the types of food you like to where you prefer eat.
Your Evening Routine
Just as with your morning routine, your live-in carer will be ready to help with bathing, getting changed or winding down for the evening. For many people, knowing that there’s someone there through the night provides much needed peace of mind, helping you sleep soundly.
Our care plans are as varied as the people we work with, so this is just an example of what live-in care could be like for you. For more information or to book a care assessment, give us a call on 01733 808531.

Home Assessment
We will agree a time to come and visit you in your own home. We will take the time to fully understand your care needs, and provide recommendations as to what type of care is required.
Care delivery
Once agreed, we will begin to deliver the care. Whether hourly, live-in, or night care, we will endeavour to deliver the best possible care.
