Home Care Services in Stamford

Stamford can be a remarkably laid back, slow paced town – apart from when the festival is in full flow of course. Stamford is one of those rare towns that settles into the soul of its residents – and has done for hundreds of years.

It’s the kind of town where you age comfortably with it, and we are there for the older population of Stamford, providing a range of bespoke care solutions tailored to your personal requirements.

We know that independence is important, which is why we strive to always offer the best compromise between care and independence. We try to meet this challenge thorough home care options that pick up the slack in any areas of personal care that you may struggle whilst giving you the space to enjoy your golden years.

So this could be anything from help with washing and dressing, pet care assistance – even help preparing and cooking delicious, healthy meals – and yes, that does include the washing up too.

Our wonderful, highly dedicated care staff is available for day visits lasting anything from just 30 minutes up to a full day. We can also provide overnight care too, providing peace of mind to carers if they need to be away from home for an extended period of time.

Just as important to us as independence is dignity and choice. We know that many people would rather stay in their own homes than move into residential care. That is why our compassionate care service can be expanded into a full, 24/7 live in care service. We supply the resources to allow you to maintain the surroundings, routines and lifestyle that you know and enjoy.

Stamford: Did You Know?

9

The town is home to the Tomato – or at least in the UK! The very first tomatoes grown on these shores were raised in the conservatory of Burghley House in Stamford way back in the 16th Century.

The Mid-Lent Fair, as described above, has a long and storied history dating back over a thousand years to the days of King Edgar. It’s starts the day after Mothering Sunday, runs to the following Saturday and includes a huge fun fair that completely fills most of the town center.

The George Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in the country, was first built in the mid 1400’s, and rebuilt in 1597. It has hosted a number of famous guests down the years including Charles I, William III and Sir Walter Scott. It is haunted (off course) by a mysterious lady in white, who floats down a flight of stairs before disappearing through a now bricked up alcove in the lounge.

The beautiful town of Stamford sits on the banks of the River Welland in the English county of Lincolnshire. Voted in 2013 as one of the best places to live in the UK by no less than the Sunday Times, take a short stroll around this picturesque and historic town and it’s easy to see why.

Beautiful timber framed buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries rub shoulders with medieval churches and the town even plays host to a annual festival that has run since the Middle Ages – it is in fact even mentioned by Shakespeare himself, cropping up in Henry IV Part 2.

This is a town steeped in history, but it also remarkably picturesque. It was in fact the first town to awarded designated conservation areas, which has allowed over 600 listed buildings to be preserved in the town.
